DW - Chaplin and Palas

Aloha,

now the palas and chaplin are done, sorry for the bad images but im moving atm and all my foto gear is in a box. will try and get the new studio up and runnig as fast as i can. i will still be painting in my old studio.

but this are what i have just gotten done, next up is some more on carnage that is coming along well to, will post some WIP images on him as fast as i can. this are two commissions that has taken a bit longer to do, so now i feel i need to get them done as fast as i can.

DW - wip

I have been working a lot and i also took one day of last week to work on my own stuff just to get t he motivation back. It´s easy to lose it when you never get any thing done, so what i do is that i take a easy model that i can do in one day and i paint it up just to boost my self.

but now i have been working on the terminators, all the arms have magnets so you can swap them as you like. need to get some more sholder pads so that i can make more bubel of some weapons but will take that later for now i need to get them done.

there are two guys missing here and that is t he cyclone and the banner, im still trying to magentas them in a good way, but it is not easy to get them on there so i will se what i can do.

but if i keep up my speed now they will be done soon, and im going for a more darker grung look, the insperation is coming from ThirdEyeNuke but i will try and do them a bit more in my own way. I love the stille that he has and it works well in the 40k universe.

This is all for now there are a lot more things coming soon. A better and longer Bio about my self so that you will get to know me better. A review on the spray booth that i have,my skorne army a lot more models have paint now and also a tutorial on how i just my oil paint.

DW and Carnage - Wip

The DW army is not coming along in the speed that i was planing for work and other things got in the way so i lost my flow all together so now im going back to the old way of doing it. I am building all the models so that i can make a big batch painting of them all, i will go over to the normal terminators for now i feel that the KN are a bit to head atm for me. it more that i don´t have the motivation to paint them so i will go back to them later so that they will look good when im done.

I just have some arms left now to megnetais and then i will start to prime them all in black and get to work. time to  get the speed back up so that i can hand in this commission i feel it sort of stopt for me but not any more!!!!

I also got a big ass carnage kit that im to build and paint up, this the first time that i work on a kit like this and also the scale for that mater. I was told that it was big but i did not think that the guy be this big !!! he is massive so i don´t know how long it will take me to get him done. just building him is a task of it own. I have to cut and shave of a lot to get him to fit and i will need to GS him to i think there are a lot of gaps. But it is fun to do something out side the box.

now i need to drink my coffe and then it is back to work, after this work i have to go to my other job haha :D i feel like the orc in war craft II work work.

Dw - Wip

It´s been some time now that i have not done a wip post on the DW commission that i am working on, so here is a small one for ya. when i have not been working or helping out my perents in law whit there new kitchen i have been working on my Rashet model that is massive a post on it will come soon when i have some better images of it. You can se one image of him in my Bio post, but now it is time to get this guys done.

Id like to have them done asap just so that i will have more time ones i get my Mammoth it is going to be so cool !!! cant wait for that big guy yes i like to work on big things hehe.

but this is what i have so far, this weekend i plan on building the rest of the terminators just so that i can start to put the foundation on them all to speed up the work some more. and magnets do take some time to get them in to the right place.

Chaplin - Wip (soon done)

Howdy ppl,

Last knight i work´t on the chaplin a lot and he is soon done just the last peral at the top of the armour and then i need to give him some line highlights and he will be all done so to have him done on Monday looks like a ok goal atm.

I also got some more work in to my skorne lock and he is coming along just fine, i sat down to look at a movie around 20:30 but after 30min´s i just could not sit down i had to paint more so i got back up and put in some H in to the fat man. I got a lot of stuff done on him on that short period of time so i was happy. I think that i put the brush donw at around 00:00-00:30 not sure tbh.

and on monday i will start to work on the unit and if i can hold my time plan they will be done in a week or so, will have to se if i get more work under the week.

but that is a re-cap of what i did yesterday.

DW - Chaplin Wip

so what have I been up to this last days well a lot tbh, i have been working a bit took care of my sick wife last week and also some painting. and now the chaplin is well on his way and also a lot of fun to paint as this is one of my fav minis from GW. I have gotten all the flats on the model done now so next up is the wash all the different areas of the model.

I under the weekend i also got some time to fix,pin and build some new models that i got this Friday  now all that i need are some some gators and random solos and my army is complete !!!!

And in other fun new´s a good friend of my came by for some coffee and gave me a present and i also got to borrow his compressor that is smaller and also a lot quieter then the one that i have now. so this was super awsome.

DW - Wip

So the work in the Dw army is a go for now, so far i have only build the HQ and one unit of Knights i will put in some magnets on them just to make them boss. I have not had the time this week to put down a lot of work on them. have a sick wife at home and now that i have some days of work i need to take care of her and do all the other things at home haha.

but now i will make some new coffie and them i will start to prime the chaplin and give him some love.
As for my self i have a skorne caster that i will start to work whit to, need to get more models done in that army to so i have a lot of things now on the table.

I have just gotten things for a DW army that i will be  working on from now on, i don´t have a dead line when it has to be done but i will try and get it done as fast as i can. There are big things coming in to my shop soon and i need the space and time to work on that, can´t wait to get my hands on it i will not say what it is yet.

but back to the DW army, this will be my first SM commission as well and that is so cool that it has taken me a bit more then one year to get a SM prodject on my desk. have done a lot of things for 40k but not this guys.

the game plan for now is to paint them in the original colours that GW has given them and i will do some sort of rock base for them. but for now i have to build them and magnetis them  so i have a lot of work in front of me.

And it also feels good to start the year like this, get a fun commission and also work whit the new terminator models that is the best !!

I will start on the chaplin that is one of my all time fav models from GW.

Brodlord V2 and some skorne colours.

after getting some feedback on the brodlord all over the net i feelt that i had to give it some colours around the eyes. i knew that a lot of peppol would say somthing about  the eyes that it needs some colour around the face area and so on. But i some how feel that it would be to much colour in one place. but i took in the feedback went back in to the shop and gave it some love ones more.

the base was green than i just added some yellow on to it to bring it up and last i brusht on yellow to the eye to give that area some more life, the images will not show it that well but i you ever get the chans to look at it live you will se it.

and here is the monster, ejnoy ppl.

And last night i spent some hours painting on a bronzback in Photoshop to try and find the colours for my army, this are the things that i had in mind when i was working and knew.

1. No metallic colours what so ever in the army.
2. No reds what so ever that makes it to easy to get the contrast, and every on has red.
3. Make the army stand out from the others but make it my own
4. Give it a dessert feeling but not in the stander way
5. How to i get in the colour green in the models, i feelt that green was a colour that id like to paint.
6. How do i keep it down to 4 colours? no more no less the only thing that i can do is bend the colours later on to get the shadows and high tones. 

And that was the things that i had in mind as i was working on the army and after two glasses of wine this is what i got. I feelt that i did not want to do the skin in a blue ton as a lot of ppl do it but in stead try and get it to look more dessert like. So lion was the animal that popt in to my mind they have sort of this golden brown ton to the fur and i love it. now to bend it some more to the darker browns and we are home. the only thing im not 100% sure on is the hair on the back. 

do i make it orange or some other colour what do you thing?

Well there you have it some uppdates and what im working on atm. 

and it makes me happy to se that more ppl are following me, that gives me a lot of motivation to post and press more on the models that i work on. So a big thx to all of you for coming by.

Brood Lord Done.

sorry for the lack of post working and been of on a tournament last weekend came 11 out of 28 players so i was super happy. it´s been a long time ago that i got a place that good in a warmachine tournament but now is not the time to talk about that sort of thing.

Last week i got this angry dude done and he turned out just awsome and it will be fun to send him home to to it´s master so that he can be happy and put it out there on the bored and just be a boss when he kills all the marines :D

i was going to give him big glowing eyes but then i change my mind just becuz i did not want to draw the focus from his hand. i did put down some time to get the blood on it good and it be a shame if ppl did not the that. Iv also been working some more on my rust and i feel that it is now on a level that i like a lot.

But there you have it, enjoy and ppl drop me a comment on that you think.

Swarmlord done

I have now gotten my swarmlord done, well he has been done some days now iv just not had the time to take any images of him do of my work. But here he is at last the arms are not glued on yet as i will send this guy on the mail and it will be easy to pack him whit no arms and he will not break. 

It was a big monster to paint and it was some hard things here and there good thing is that i have done two of them before to my self so i know what i was going to get. and i had done all the basic aribrush misses before to so the masking this time was a lot faster. 

all that is left now is the brood lord that im working on now, well im working on the base on it atm and it will look killer when it is done. the ide is that he will be on a road and have built up his hill of skulls on it. 

but here is the swarmlord, plz leave me a comment on some feedback so that i know what to do better next time.

Swarmlord WIP

Here are the wip images on the swarmlord that im working on now, the first image is to show what sort of pose that im going for. And under you can se that he is a long way in now things that are left are all the bone parts hand some lines here and there. But to day after work when i came home i was dead. So im not in the mode to take a chans if i can paint, will try and get the last things done tomoz as i start late. 

So far this big plastic guy have been a lot of fun and i do like the new kit, it´s a blast to work whit it. 

well that is all for now, just a short post on the progress so far.

Tyranid Shrikers done

Aloha there,

So to day i got the shrikers done, and they look bad ass i must say. ones more i went all banans on them. I was trying out some new blendings on the wings whit a low PSI on the air brush and they came out good. but the images on them are not as good as they look not that good light out side now will try and get some better tomorrow when the sun is out.

They where a lot of fun to paint and i have gotten my paint spark back, now i will paint up some of my cryx and the brod lord at the same time will be fun to se that. but back to the tyranids now they have aribrush work on them and also the good old brush to, all the carapes are done by brush. i spent a lot of time to try and blend the colours in to them. in the end they look ok, im still not that good when it comes to blend colours. so i will try and get a lot better on that front. Im also new to mediums in the paint i only have water when i paint.

but this time i was trying out some mediums to make the paint thin and flow better when i was working whit it. and another problem that i found is that i need new brushes then ones i have are one year old now and there is nothing left of them. boy will i go nuts when i get my pay check new army and W&N brushs are on the list ^^

but now for some images, enjoy and i will post better tomorrow.

tyranid wip and Warmachine wip

Hi there,

Last week i have been working on some warmachine things for my self that need to be done by the end of this month, going of to finland to play in a tournament and the army must be fully painted and basets so i have some work to do.

And i have also been working on the tyranids a lot, i dont have any images atm to show you but will try and post up some later today. so that you can se the blends that i have been working on. they are not uber awsome but try to give them some life. Im not doing them the normal tyranid way where you paint lines on there carapes. i try to blend in colours to make them look more organic, like a bug.

I can say that this guys have given me back a lot of motivation to paint so feel that this week will be awsome for me. My next time to "work" is on friday so there is some time to paint now. the plan is to get this warriors done the brood lord more then 50% done and also some of my warmachine things done.

There is a lot of work that i need to put in now and i know that i will be dead by the end of it.

That is a small update on what will happen this week.

Tyranid shrikers WIP

Howdy,

So i have been working a bit on the shrikers now, they have the base cote on and the first layer of wash. now all the blending work will start then just a bit of air brush to melt some of the colours. all in all this is some early wip work on the tyranids. i will be doing some more work on them tomoro i just came back from work so im a bit tired in the head now. I work at a old folks home where they can forget things and repeat them over and over and i have my limit hehe

last week i got one of the tyranids done and the jack was done under the weekend. tho i had some ppl over here from the US i found the time to get all the things done. Im not super happy whit how the jack came out but what can i do. In no way dos it look bad and the cool part is, that i did it whit a broken airbrush how´s that for some mad skills haha.

I have been working a bit on the broodlord now, but i think that it is better that i do the tyranid warriors that have some paint all ready. this week and next will be tyranid attack from planet hell week wiii!!!!!

I will also poke in some of my cryx in there need to have my own warmachine army done by the end of aug so there will be no time to sleep, but i don´t think there will be a problem whit that. I am also working on a review on the new commpressor that i just got it´s big and bulky but i love the big thing. now i can work for a longer time and i get more things done and the best part is that i can play whit the PSI to get some cool FX. need to work some more on that as that is all new for me but fun things are coming now.

been a bit sick.

last week was not awsome for me at all, i was sick as hell but now im doing a lot better just some stress problems whit my stomach that makes it hurt like it is now ones business, crazy body.

But things that i have done on my down time is, gotten the last tau done images on them are to come soon. I have also done the last troop test tyranid, it was a lot of fun to paint that flappy and i gave the wings on it a new twist. Think that it will stand out a lot when you have 10+ of t hem side by side images are coming tomoz.

I was going to post some WIP images on the two jacks im working on but i forgot all about it to day as i got in the flow and work on pretty good on them, now i just need to lay down the red and then all the colours are on them. after that the fun part starts and that is to make it look like crap but in a good way.

I have also found a proxy model for my cryx army, but i will not say what model it is yet. my plan now is this. ones i have all my commission work done i will sit down 2-3 month and just paint up my cryx army. i have a lot of models and they all need my love i also have some models that i need to convert to brute thralls. for that i will be working whit one of my fav models ever and that is the Island of blood skaven rat oger. it is the size that i need and i finde them to be so cool the only down side is that they have fur. but i will find some way to work on that.

well that is some of the things that i have going for me over here. more fun stuff to come soon so stay tuned for some more fun stuff.

now i will hit the bed and get better, cuz feeling bad or to be sick sux.

tyranids - some troops

after doing some work on the wing i got the swing back to paint some tyranids. Its fun t o paint them after all the IG i have been working on, but the thing im looking the most forword to paint is the brood lord and swarmlord. next up is the flappy that i will paint up later on to day and after that i will start to work on some warriors that have been looking at me now.

as you can se the colours to t hem are sort of a normal tyranid look. black and red crapes i thnik they look a bit like fire flys now, they give a nice glow when you look at them from a far so they do stand out a bit when you put them on the tabel.

all i need now is my pay check so that i can go out and buy me some new gear that i need bad, the kompresor that i have here at home is broken now and there is not point to put it on all it dos is f@@@s up all the models.

Sorry for the lack of post, but i have had a lot of other things in the way this last two month. And i also have a new job where i have spent a lot of time. but i have also be working on some things when i was gone not only is the IG army 50% done now but i have also done a 1750 tau army that is done now.

some single minis for my self and now im working on two khador jacks and the tyranids i got in some time ago. And it feels good to paint something new ones more the IG army was not easy to paint and it to a lot more time then i gave it at first glans.

well that is a long story short more on that to come later. now for some images, the tyranids im working on and the jacks. i have just put in magnets to all the parts that is why you se them all over the tabel.
