Tau-IG-Tyranid now that is a nice combo.

Howyd ppl,

time to give you all a update on what´s on the works for me, first of is the IG army that im working on now like crazy. I just have the support guys left and then all of batch 1 is done and that will be a fun day for me to say it loud to my self. to work whit this guys has been sort of steping back in time back to the mid 90tis.

Then for my next commission that i just got, paint some tyranids!!! now this is a commission that i like a lot, for the first time in a long time. i get to paint somthing that i my self love a lot. there are to things that i like a lot in 40k and that is Tau and tyranids and as a added bonus to it all, i get to paint the space hulk brood lord iiiiii dream come true (i sound like a girl now, soz) i also got some other tyranid models to do. Test models on all the troops they have after that i have a swarmlord and 3 shrikers LvL 2 paint job so that will be fun to paint up. And i get to build the swarmlord my self that made me happy as well.

And last of is my tau that im speed pating like crazy, when ever i get some free time i hit this guys. They have been a lot of fun to play have done some test games to se how they work and what i need to tweek on my list. I think that i have workt out a ok list for now i have a lot of burster cannons in it so i will have to get in there.

But here is a wip on the bord that i will be working for them and you can se the list there as well, the only thing that is missing now is all the drones that im atm doing a clean up. will brush them later to day and then it´s time to prime some models. sun is out so best take the chans to do that now when i can or the rain will be back :(

Iv also gotten a extra job now so the paint time will go down a bit, but it feels good to have some stady money coming in every month. now i know the bills will be payed hehe.

update on what is going on.

Long time not update sorry for that, but i have had a lot of things going on at the same time. I will now tell you about some of them some good some bad but here we go, first of as you know i have been working on a big IG army and im soon at the end of batch 1. The first part of the army was old school RT models all in metal and i have had to paint all the skin on them for hand and that took some time to get nice thin cotes of paint. so far i have done 34 of 38 singel models after that is done i have 6 big platforms to fix up they are more then 50% done but i will go back and re-paint a lot of things on them to make them look a lot better.

Last week i got the crazy ide that i like to have a fully painted army so i got to work on my tau that have been on the floor now for soon a year, it is wired that a commission painter don´t have a fully painted army to show of hehe. any way the army is to be done juli 18 the 22 there is a tournament where i live and im going to play in it. im sure that i will be in the bottom 3 but think that it will be a lot of fun to play there.

O the more important part of the sorry here is that im working on a new LvL 0 painting and that is my speed paint stander i plan on having a 1750 list done by 18 juli, i only paint on this guys when im not working on a commission or some other job that is way it will take me some time to get them done.
but but to give you sort of a ide on the time it takes me to paint a suite about 1,5/H paint and base it there is no time to go in and fix a line here or there. The are a bit like Next lvl painting but a bit more sloppy then the things he do. 




And in other new´s im now in the bord of the local gaming club they play for the most part fantasy here where i liv but for my part that is cool there are some 40k players. but i will be working a lot more on trying to get the warmachine scene going big time here in Dalarna so me and a buddy is at work on that atm. im also trying to get the club in order so there is a lot of things to  do and i need to read up on all the different rules there is to apply for money to do things.


the sad new is that last week i was at a close friends funeral and that took a lot more on me then id think it do, was sad for some days when i think about it it makes me sad to. it happens that some times when im working i just stop and look at the wall and my mind just drift to some other place and i feel so empty in side. think that has do to a lot whit some other problems that i have but that was the sad news.


I have also a tyranid commisson job on the way lvl 2 so that is some relly awsome stuff and im working to get a nother jobb where i will get to paint a GW game bord not the normal typ of job, but i think it will be a lot of fun to do.


now im of to do the last of the IG guys better images on all the things are to come in some weeks when they are all done.

Tau yes they are cool

Iv been more at work now in the hobby and I sort of got the spark back when i sa that the tau are coming next year Q1, yes it is just rumors now. But this is GW we are talking about ones the talk starts on the net you know that there are going to pop out stuff at that date. And i have been pumpt about the new tau, what im hoping the most for is some sort of big ass robot and new suties and a codex that will not sux big time. 

They are not uber bad to play but they are far from a faction that is good, they need a lot of play to get the hang of. And it will be fun to get in to this guys, my need got a break now. They are fun to play but i never win any games and that did not cut it for me. Im not a bad looser but you need to win now and then to keep you going the biggest problem for me is that i do crap rolls. +2 save and i get a 1 +3and i get a 2 and so on just bad luck all the way. And im also tired of ppl just running me over whit all the fucking mech they put in my face. 

And that is also a big problem for the nidz as they lack the anti-tank we need. any how bit off topic now and tau is the focus now. yes im moving over to them now as i was talking about in my other post and here are some wips on some suties iv been working on. 

the did get clean up yesterday and got a lot of the paint off of them, they had 4 layers of paint on !!!! and the feet where super glued on to the base. So there was only one way to get them of and that was whit the saw when i got the feet of. 

It was time to pimp out the base a bit, i dont care about LoS for them as if the get a shoot they will go down. going for a good looking army here.

Tau color test

I found a fun and easy program to paint up your model, you can find it over here.

So I sat down and got some ides out of my head that I have for my tau´s. I rellay want to paint them asap so I have to get a move on now on all the things I have in the air. There are 3 DE ships left and I think that i can get them out of the way on time now. if i just plan up my days good i can make it in time be for all the new DE things come out.

This is the one that i like the most, and will give it a test paint when i have the time.
love the white and red combo this colors work so good, but i have seen armys that have this color combo. and id like to be the first to do the color. will paint my eldar like this i think.
a down ton of camo green, just to give it a try dont like how it looks.

well that is all that i have for now, more to come soon. now it is time for me to hit the books some houres and se if i make it out alive.

Tau Commander - test 0.1

Aloha,

So after a long day of school work, i just had to get back in the game and build some more. It´s been a long time now not building any thing. The only thing that is left on him is to pin the arms and green stuff work. It did not turn out the way i was looking for but built from bitz Im happy.

The main thing i don´t like about him is the arms, he looks a bit to tense but i will just have to wing it there i guess.

He will be standing on some rocks looking over the battel, think that is the only thing that will work for him.

AND im also soon done on my other side project "dust storm"more to come on that one. now i have to work some more on my article

Tau Commander - test

Aloha ppl,

So after my wife took my paint station to do her artical for school. And that left me out from my normal space i then spent some time to do a 1750 tau army list that id like to give a try. and i also spent some time to look over the net on some good concept art on commanders. I i don´t like the one that GW has done as it look just like a nother suite. I want my commander to stick out on the bord. And this is what i have done so far it is far from done. Felt like doing some building work was to lat to mix up some paint last night.

The most important thing for me is that it is taller then the rest, looks like a bad ass. I will do some more work on this guy later when i get the time.

But i think that this can turn out good if i don´t go all bananas on him.

Tau project - for the summer

yo yo,

This is my tau army that i just got my self, it is going to take a lot of work to get this guys up to TT + that id like to have em. But on the other hand i like to take on big things so that i don´t get bord. When i got in to this world a year ago tau was the army that id like to play, but after having a look on the net i sa that a lot ppl said that they where not that good. So i then took on the tyranids, now i can se that was a good and bad thing to do as tyranids are not so easy to get in to as the first army to play.

This is my break down of armys that i like

- Tyranid

- Tau

- Eldar

Why do i like this armys, well im a big fan of mech (robots) and aline looking things so it was the naturel thing for me to do.

I now have this three armys and they are all over 1750 so i can do a lot of different types of builds if i like. Well that was a small update on the things that i have on the side, it will be a joy to paint this army.
